The KitchenAid KSM150PSBL Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Bay Leaf is talking to me. What I mean by that is "I LOVE this color!" I've had a particular fondness for bay leaf room freshener fragrances; however, when I saw it as a color for a mixer, it was love at first sight!

This color is a blend of blues and greens to achieve a new kind of color synergy. I love it and I think you will too!

THE RAINBOW LINE-UP OF KITCHENAID ARTISAN MIXERS:

Black: associated with power, elegance, formality, and mystery.

This color gives the feeling of perspective and depth. I wear a lot of black.

Dark Blue: represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.

A good color for the serious chef.

Purple: Ah, I love this color. It is often associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.

It's a rarer color for the kitchen, but so majestic!

Copper: This color conveys a sense of prestige. It denotes wisdom and wealth and high quality.

And, metallics are the latest rage for the kitchen!

Green: directly related to nature, this color shows your support for 'green' products.

It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility.

Nickel: Know someone celebrating a 21st wedding anniversary? This would be a perfect gift.

It's a great metallic color that compromises between the copper and silver.

Pink: signifies romance, love, and friendship. It represents feminine qualities and passiveness.

Of course, it is the Cook for the Cure color!

Cook for the Cure presented by KitchenAid, was created in 2001 to give passionate cooks a way to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

They has raised millions of dollars through donation-with-purchase programs, special fundraising events, auctions and grass roots initiatives.

What's inspiring is that KitchenAid also supports breast cancer foundations around the world in such countries as Canada, France, Germany, South Africa, Greece and Israel.

When I attended Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, I pledged Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Delta Theta Chapter. Our sorority charitable organization was Susan G. Komen!

Red: the color of fire and blood.

It is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination, passion, desire, and love.

Silver: Metallics are hot -- especially for the kitchen! The look of stainless steel is a contemporary trend.

This color is sleek, glamorous, and rich.

Orange: the energy of red and the happiness of yellow, it is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics.

It represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

White: this color means light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. Considered to be the color of perfection, it denotes safety, purity, and cleanliness.

An excellent go with everything color for a kitchen appliance!
