Whether or not you are in a management position, want to be a better leader, or want to be a better person, YOU simply cannot go wrong reading a book by John Maxwell.

Ah, Make Today Count and get a copy of "The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader" and "The 17 Essential Qualities of a Team Player" -- a couple of really great books by John Maxwell.

THREE OTHER JOHN MAXWELL BOOKS:
  1. The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Follow Them and People Will Follow You (10th Anniversary Edition) - If you've never read The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, you've been missing out on one of the best-selling leadership books of all time. If you have read the original version, then you'll love this new expanded and updated one.
  2. 25 Ways to Win with People: How to Make Others Feel Like a Million Bucks - A slim companion to Maxwell's bestselling Winning with People, this volume aims to teach readers skills that will help them improve their interpersonal relationships. Using a tag-team approach, with Parrott kicking off each topic and Maxwell butting in for a "Mentoring Moment" every few pages, the authors offer up familiar nuggets of advice such as "Pass the Credit on to Others," "Listen with Your Heart" and "Point Out People's Strengths."
  3. Make Today Count: The Secret of Your Success Is Determined by Your Daily Agenda - Drawing from the text of the Business Week bestseller Today Matters, this condensed, revised edition boils down John C. Maxwell's 12 daily practices to their very essence, giving maximum impact in minimal time. Readers will learn how to make decisions on important matters and apply those decisions daily to put them on a path to more successful, productive, and fulfilling lives.

GET THE BOOK!

The 17 Essential Qualities of a Team Player: Becoming the Kind of Person Every Team Wants is another in a long line of titles by John Maxwell aimed at helping people attain their personal and leadership potential in the workplace.

The book is organized into short chapters, each devoted to one of the 17 qualities that Maxwell deems essential to a successful and harmonious workplace, qualities such as competence, discipline, adaptability, commitment, selflessness, and preparedness.

Maxwell's prose reads like a series of sermons, peppered with inspirational stories and quotes from personalities as diverse as Vince Lombardi ("The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender") and Henry Ford ("Before everything else, getting ready is the secret of success"). The book is for Maxwell fans and anyone looking for a sensible and formulaic approach to improving their lot, both at work and in life. --Harry C. Edwards

the purpose of life quote rabbi harold kushner
"The purpose of life is not to win. The purpose of life is to grow and to share. When you come to look back on all that you have done in life, you will get more satisfaction from the pleasure you have brought to other people's lives than you will from the times that you outdid and defeated them." -- Rabbi Harold Kushner
