Cleveland Cities

Cleveland Named Cities in USA. How many cities across the United States? It's all about Cleveland Named Cities in the United States of America! Can you name them all? I know the first one, aside from Cleveland, Ohio, that comes to my mind is in Tennessee.

It might just surprise you to know how many other states have a city by this name! Hey, was it Grover Cleveland who really inspired all those cities? Or, could it have been another guy, like Benjamin with that last name?

It is a smallish town located in the county of Blount. The census of 200 recorded the population at 1,241. The median family income was $40,298.

Named after General Benjamin Cleveland! It is the county seat, located in the county of White. The 2000 census set a smallish population of 1,907. The median family income is $37,417.

Outside the Quad Cities! It is a small village located in Henry County, Illinois, outside the Quad Cities. In the 2010 census, the population dropped from 253 in 2000 to just 188. A cozy little village!

Also known as Carvel? Cleveland, Kansas is an unincorporated community located in the county of Kingman County. Would you believe, in 1879 Cleveland was platted and named after the city in Ohio! Yeah.

Gosh, the post office closed up shop in 1957!

It “now contains only the grain elevator, described by a resident as ‘one of the busiest elevators in the area.’”

Minnesota
97.9 males for every 100 females! It is located in the county of Le Sueur County. The census of 2010 recorded its population at 719.

Hey! Its twin city is Killyleagh, Northern Ireland! It is a small town located in the county of Rowan. The 2000 census set the population at 808; fairly comparable in population to the city in New York. The median income for a family was $48,250. Pretty cool information : in 2008, this C. town was twinned with Killyleagh, Northern Ireland!

Ohio
Forest City * The Rock n Roll Capital of the World * C-Town! Cleveland, Ohio is located in the county seat of Cuyahoga County and is the most populated city in the state of Ohio. It was founded in 1796, incorporated as a village in 1814, and finally incorporated as a city in 1836. According to the 2010 census, the C. city had a population of 396,815, was the 45th largest city in the United States, and the second largest city in Ohio.

Of course, you might know, that residents are appropriately called Clevelanders! I know because I was a Clevelander. Cool nicknames for the city include “Forest City,” “Sixth City,” “The Rock n Roll Capital of the World,” and “C-Town.”

Oklahoma
Was first known as Herbert?? It is a city located in the county of Pawnee. The census of 2010 recorded the population a a mere 3,251, with a family income of $36,585. Kind of a small, cozy city! The city was named Herbert for a short period of time; but was renamed on April 19, 1894, in honor of President Grover Cleveland.

Would you believe, I have an ex who lived in Tennessee for a lot of years? I heard his house was some 10,000 SF and that he had a helicopter pad on his property. Definitely, he exceeded that family income of $40,150.

Giddyup as this town has an old rodeo and celebrates with an annual rodeo each year during the second weekend of June! Hot dog. Pioneer Days, folks.

West Virginia
Buffalo Fork > Point > and then finally C-town It is an unincorporated community located in the county of Webster.

The history of this little village is pretty cool in that it three different names: Buffalo Fork, Point, and Cleveland. In 1853 it got its first post office. In 1885, it was officially named after Grover, of course!
