Pod Seats and Cool Pod Furniture. Happy as a clam in a pod seat -- Cool pod seats! Hit your comfort zone with cool pod seats and some cool pod furniture. Don't you just love the name of "Pod?" A pod seat has that warm fuzzy feel to it figuratively and literally.

A favorite pod-type seat of mine is the Micama from Francesca Donati pictured here. It's rather like cocoon furniture. I originally found this at Antidiva, an Italian furniture site, and at Adero Design, a German furniture site.

This particular piece of furniture is definitely the most exotic, unique, and versatile of all the pod-type seats I've seen. I am happy as a clam in a cool pod seat.

The Orbit by Dedon is at the top of my list of favorites for many reasons! Like the Micama, it’s exotic, unique, and versatile with a lot of style.

What may edge the Orbit into the lead for me is the availability of a canopy! If you’ve seen my other lens on canopy beds, you’ll know how I adore canopies on furniture!

Dedon’s Collection can be found literally all over the internet. I found it originally at Europe by Net for US$ 6,151 exc. VAT with a 2-4 week quick-ship delivery.

This is a versatile piece of “pod” furniture. It can be used as a pod seat or as a table.

This pod bench is a piece of “art furniture” designed by Isaac Arms. It is a fabricated steel and wood bench for interior use only.

It is available with cherry, English sycamore, and quarter-sawn white oak at $4,200 with s+h of $550. There is an 8 week leadtime.

For those out there with cats, I’ve included a pod type seat called the “Kitty Pod.” I know my menagerie of cats would love this! It’s a creation of Elizabeth Paige Smith.
