About the artist: Swedish glass artist Ulrica Hydman-Vallien employs her bold brushstrokes on the frosty white background, depicting a tulip in the cheerful, naif style of Swedish folk art.

Oh gosh, I am a huge fan of tulips from way back in my childhood in Cleveland, Ohio. You see, my grandma and grandpa had the most beautiful flower garden and of course grew tulips, among other lovely flowers. To think of a tulip, it makes me smile.
